Hemming Muscle car news today:

Muscle Cars
Pontiac Muscle Prices Out of Control
You’ve read all about Mopar muscle being the hottest thing on the planet. Well, it appears that Hemi and 440 Six Pack cars, while still overpriced, are coming back to earth. We know of a Hemi Superbird that recently sold for $120,000. That is substantially less than a year ago.
Meanwhile, Anthony Calderaio of Custom Classic GTOs, Inc., in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, told us of some recent sales of GTOs. Check these out: 1970 Ram Air IV black Judge convertible at $535,000; 1969 Judge convertible, $350,000; 1970 Judge convertible with a Ram Air III for $425,000; and a plain Jane ’70 convertible, but with a 455, four-speed and factory air for $180,000. In some cases, these prices are 100 times their original list price! We also know of a confirmed sale of $1.3 million for one of the very rare 1969 Trans Am convertibles.
“GTO prices were suppressed, but now people are starting to realize that they are worth as much as Mopars and maybe even more, because they are full-framed cars—which were better made, of better quality and with creature comforts,” Calderaio said.

Full framed cars and creature comforts?,these are dinosaurs!I think the main reason is buyers(or potential one's)are seeing the value in them.GM collectors are looking past Chevy's because of rampant fraud and lack of supporting manufacturer documentation, and are moving into the safe haven of PHS.How much will SD's be valued at in two years?.Kinda blows holes in that overall bursting bubble theory don't it?.Last time I checked the PY forums they didn't have a lot of threads titled "real or fake?" amazing what a little factory help will for your game.jmo

Although PHS and GM of Canada documentation are helpful, they don't guarantee anything. They just confirm that serial number XXXXXXXXXXXXX had the following options. You could still have a fake car with the right numbers. Could be a re-body or a re-tag. If you have the real car, at least you know exactly what should be on it for options. With Chevies, the paper trail is all important. I have a line on an original Judge. I'd better get serious about chasing it down when I see how these prices are spiralling upward. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
