1969 Pontiac Grand Prix, Model J 428ci with factory 4 speed.
Loaded with options: Special Paint, 4bbl high performance 428, Safe-T-Trac, Dr. Edge Guards, Ralley Gauges, Tinted Glass, Power Seat, Cold A/C, Power Seat, Special Tuned springs and shocks, Front Floor Mats.
A very low percentage of total GP production received a 4 speed transmission and even fewer(only a hand full) had the 428/4 speed combination.
This numbers matching original drivetrain example is ready to show or go. It features the original dealer Invoice, protectoplate as well as full PHS documentation.
This is one of the best "bang for the buck" collectable Muscle Cars we have had for sale in a long time.
The car runs and drives as good as it looks. Needs nothing but a new owner, to be enjoyed.
$22,500.00 obo Quality trades up or down may be considered.

Paint, options and documents aside...with 4-spds at little more than half of 1% of total '69 production also this car being a 428 unit, this is quite the piece! .
Gotta' ask...how does the reflection of a girl lying on a bed possible with a picture taken outside?

When I was pumping gas as a 15 year old a guy that worked part time at the " ESSO " station bought a yellow/Blk Vinyl top Blk interior GP. Loaded 428 but with an aotomatic. Traded a 67 Camaro SS for it.....What a burnout that car could do!!!!

Yes, it is a documented 428 4 speed. Reflection is from a Van belonging to the tenant upstairs.

Hopefully you have a quick sale.
What type of tires came on it when it was new? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

All it needs is a set of G70 belted whitewalls. I'll bet it sounds great getting on the freeway.

These are Very Kool Cars, I had a 69 SJ that I lent to a friend who wrecked it. It was not his fault but I was still pissed. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

Thanks! I was just reading one of the Muscle car periodicals, where it mentions that Jim Wangers had a '69 SJ 4 speed 428, as a company car and now has a 400 4 speed in his collection as he couldn't find another 4 speed 428 GP.

the SJ had the 428 and Leather interior. and yes, it would melt the tire to the rim with less than a quarter pedal

-----An SJ had to have one of two 428s (390 or 370). I just bought a 29000 orig mile 370hp SJ last Friday. Standard J models could have 428s as well but had 400s as standard issue. Leather could have been ordered on any 1969 or 1970 Grand Prix, and was not by any means standard on SJs. I think you might tend to see a few more leather interiors in SJs as most SJs were more heavily optioned than the Js. These are great cars. I love them when the options are trowled on!!!!.........Bill S

Don,,,
------We have to start an SJ Grand Prix club. Yours is absolutely beautiful!!! Im not sure what to do with this one as it is so original. Just one laquer repaint about 15 years ago and new exhaust and not much else. Saddle leather seats are near mint and original carpet is mint as well. Were the wheels on yours when you bought it??? I actually thought about a set of real Hurst wheels for a second until I remembered what they go for these days. An absolute prince of a guy sold it to me and on the wall of his garage was an original add with a GP SJ with redlines. Gotta do it!!!
------ I will try to get some pics for you this week, Bruce. I think you will dig it.........Bill S

Thanks Bill, I cant wait to see pics of your car as well.
Ive always loved grand prixs and since judges are out of reach now for most of us this is the next best thing in my book. The wheels were on it already when i bought it. I had an extra set of hurst wheels to go on it when i got home but when i pulled up to his house i could not believe what i was seeing. They are like hurst wheels on steroids!!! 16x8's with a custom offset with 255/50's all the way around! Handles like a bastard!! Forgot to mention,It has edelbrock aluminum heads on it with a ram iv cam and factory exhaust manifolds!! Now i have a car that can smoke the tires down the street with the air condition on. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif
