Thought Id see if anyone is interested before I put it on ebay this weekend..Its never been on there so Id love to keep it that way.
1970 Chevelle L78 396/375hp, Factory M21 4 speed, Factory 4.10 Posi car, Real Cranberry Red car too boot! Car has 11,763 miles on the odometer as of today! Miles are original and documented by pervious title and letter from previous owner, and if you could see the car in person you would I think you would agree. Car never was more than 30 miles away from selling dealer until it came to Minnesota about 8 months ago.
Car retains all of its original sheet metal it has had 1 repaint, paint is driver quality, I believe a good wet sand and buff would Im prove that paint a great deal but none the less it is definatley presentable and looks good. Still has original bumpers, and a few emblems and wheel well trim.
still retains original front and rear seats, carpet, front and rear door panels, kick panels, seat belts, headliner has been replaced. Interior is very nice for being original.
Under the hood is clean and has had a paint/detailing done.
Car is Numbers Matching and has 3 good original REAL buildsheets. This is a NO b.s. car and has the papers to prove it.
Car was under coated when it was new, it still has the original spring stickers in place along with posi tag, car is very solid I have pictures with the carpet pulled back to show the floors.
These cars dont come up forsale often and I think you'd be looking for a long long time to find another Red 4 speed 4.10 car with papers like this one.
This is not a restored trailer queen, its a very nice legit original with 1 repaint low miles and papers. Price $80,000 507-208-0191
more pics available if requested.

Thanks the car is cool and is definatley one of those cars that would be almost impossible to replace. With all the restamp and fake paper work cars out who ever buys this car can be sure they are getting the REAL DEAL.
Here are a few more pics, I do have the exhaust resinators and smog system for the car also. Car also still retains its original CKK rear end. Also pretty rare for such an early car to have factory Cowl Induction not to many people know what it was so they didnt order it.

Shouldn't L78 be stamped on the Tag like I've seen on the 69 L78's. Or is that on Canadian cars only?

Ive never heard of that? has anyone else?
Fisher Bodys Ontario Canada Oshawa assembly plant stamped Z15(SS-454), or Z25(SS-396),on their Cowl tags for 1970.
I've never seen a 1969 Oshawa built SS L-78 Chevelle.
Very nice car Andy. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Perhaps you're thinking of the '70 L78 Camaros that had the tag stamped? .

I have yet to see a '69 or '70 Oshawa built L78 or LS6 Chevelle. Our COPO Chevelle and L78 car were built in Baltimore and sold new in Ontario. They did build a few GTO Judges in '70, even Ram Air cars. A friend has one with all the Oshawa paperwork. Rare car.

I was just looking over the build sheet just recently found safe and sound in the back seat of a 40 option LS6, Baltimore built car, which was shipped new to a Canadian dealer and then sold into New York.
It was interesting to see all the options on the GM of Canada paperwork matched the LS6 build sheet as well.
The build sheet is so pristine that the "peanut gallery" might consider it a fake.

Next time I see the car at the local cruise I'll double check. Since crusing is over now, it won't be till spring unless I run into the guys.

No it didnt sell..Typical ebay "buyer with big dreams and no money" I should have known better. Dont really care if it sells or not just thought Id put it back out there with all the Scottsdale events coming up I thought it wouldnt be a bad idea to have some spending money just incase.
Very nice rare car.Not too many running arround.
My L78 was built one week after yours in the same plant
Where were you before I restored mine EH!

I'll buy it when I win the 27 million this Fri.
PJ, I like the green on your L78!
Thanks Mark
I posted the car pics from start to finnish
Just disreguard the date on the pics as I did not know at the time how to change to the correct date on the camera
Notice on the original pics of the car in 1970 that the front stripes are square from the factory and not round on
the ends.
