USA1 Fuel Funny Car

I had the opportunity to met Bruce Larson this past weekend at Capitol Raceway in Croften Md. Capitol had their 1st Nostalgic Drag race and he was there. I took about 8-10 pics of my Blownz next to the restored USA-1. Bruce is a very nice man and we all had a blast with him.

Yes, Bruce is a super person to be around. Mo and I got to pit next to him one year at the Funny Car Reunion. Does not get any better then that.

Bruce is the best! We always enjoy having him at the Funny Car Reunion because of his credentials and great car. Bruce is the real deal, started out drag racing in the 1950s at a sanctioned event at Linden Airport here in New Jersey with a 32 Ford, raced Stock and Super Stock before becoming a pioneer in AFX and Funny Car. It was my great honor to direct him thru the water box at Raceway Park when he made is license runs with Don Garlits for Top Fuel in the early 1990s. He signs ever autograph and talks with every fan. Every now and again, Bruce brings his USA1 funny car to a local cruise held in Hummelstown, PA, I think he is a member of the club that puts it on ... either way, he and the car are always a great treat!!! Truly a class act!
