I have a set of 4 15x7 rally wheels that I will be looking to sell soon.
I have been asked repeatedly what they came off of. All I know is that they were on an S-10 when I got them, but I was informed that Chevy never used rallies on trucks.
Here is what the code looks like:

Any thoughts? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
Thanks

If that's an "FW" stamping, you have 1973 Monte Carlo 15x7 rims assembled on October 13th, 1972. Looks to be:

K-1-2 - Kelsey-Hayes, Romulus plant, 1972
10 - October
13 - 13th
FW - 15x7 Monte Carlo Rally Wheels

Thanks Ed. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif That was fast! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif
If it's newer than '69, I don't have any reference books.

Ed, I have four 15 X 7 rallye wheels stamped K 1 5 8 12 FW. Would they be '75 or '76 Monte Carlo wheels? Thanks. Tex Timberlake

Tex,

These would probably be for a 1976 model since the date comes out to August 12th, 1975. And by the way, the "FW" wheels were used on both Chevelle's and Monte's for 1976.

Ed, thanks for the information. I took that matched set of FW wheels off my '69 Yenko Camaro when I acquired it several years ago but did not have a clue as to what they belonged on. This car was in the Otis Chandler collection back in the '90's; I guess Otis was not as big a numbers matching nut as I am. Tex

I'd venture to guess there are more FW rallys out there than all other rallys combined. Remember how many second gen Montes they made?!
