marlin - the 68 copo is undergoing resto now by CPR..and considering its from yenko, i was checking the nameplate situation for those cars
The 68Z is done - but the 68Z grill i have is all silver and i was told that was not correct . . so im checking opinions on the correct color.
Seems like resto's are never done!!

Ed, The grille on your car is wrong. I remember seeing a picture of it someplace. Steve's explaination of how it should be is correct. But you really need a good photo to understand how it should be. I don't have time to look for one at the moment. If you find a picture of a 68 non SS non RS camaro that is the way the Z/28 grille should be painted.

If so, it was taken from this thread
Ed's Z/28 (http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=UBB3&Number=177787&Search page=7&Main=177787&Words=enio45&topic=&Search=true #Post177787)

Another way of saying it might be the eggcrate part of the grille (including the turn signal area) should be silver and the rest of the plastic (from the front) should be semi-gloss black.

Hey - thanks my car and disregard the roll around tires you can see....anyhow yes i was told it was not painted correctly.....so its missing the black on the edges as described.
And they there is a difference with the SS cars as it is all black with the little silver on the edge?
The one pic above in steve's note is not too clear...I would appreciate a nice close up if anyone can post it and ill go back to work on it :-))

Hey Steve, I think it's about time to send some pics to Bruce for a "Member's Rides" feature on your awesome 68.
