When would a car get the round sticker/transfer which was applied to the inside rear 1/4 windows. It is Red, white and Black. It says Dyno Tuned Baldwin, N.Y. with a Red MP in the middle?

sorry, its a dark scan and has Joel's autograph over it. I'll find the original and get a better look.

All the real Motion cars that I have seen. Had the stickers in the engine compartment and the Mr. Motion sticker on both sides of the oil pan. I never saw them on the quarter glass.

The yellow ones were included with mail order items... I have a vintage one from the day when my brother order fender flares from Motion in 75..

As a side note...I talked with a mechanic who worked for Motion back in the day and he mentioned that the used 2 types of decal wording...one that said "dyno tuned" and the other said "dyno proven"...the "dyno proven" decals were the general decals that were used like when people ordered parts and such and the "dyno tuned" decals were supposed to be used exclusively on cars which were actually "tuned" at Motion...

Does anyone out there have an original example of these stickers on either a Baldwin-Motion or Motion built Super car?
Found on Kevins 1969 Baldwin-Motion Phase III Chevelle.

There really were Black, White & Red stickers. Sorry the picture is so fuzzy. It was taken with a 35mm Argus in '69.

Do you have a picture of the common repros which look like this one, other than the black ring?
Vern,
That is one cool vintage pic! So how did you get the stickers?

Honestly, I don't remember. I bought a bunch of parts from Joel back then. I don't think he gave them to me, but they might have been there for sale over the counter. Hell, maybe he did give them to me http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif It's been so long I just forget. Getting old has it's disadvantages http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Chris, I don't want to clutter up this thread with more current pictures of the '62. It doesn't look a whole lot different today except for wheels and tires. (and exhaust) No more headers! My days of racing that car are over. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

The one I posted is vintage and original. The repro you have here seems to have a Yellow center with a Red ring around it. If they are making/have been making an exact repro I would like to see it yet still want to know why and when the originals of this type were used.
