Scanning through Ebay I saw this seller: rkcar_farm. Has anybody dealt with him or know where this junkyard is? Some neat old stuff to look at but it does seem like a lot of junk. From his feedback and his responses to potential buyers questions he does not seem like a nice guy.

You would be grumpy if you were selling your whole stash too... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

It is actually quite comical to read the questions from the potential buyers and the answers the seller gives. It is worth the look. Check out his past auctions as well---neat old stuff

It seems simple enough to me, a customer will either buy, make an offer, or ask questions related to those things.
There's no reason to be nice to imbeciles that send their wittiest lame comments because they have no idea whatsoever what they're looking at. They're not customers.
Nor is there any reason to be nice to people who ask about buying parts when it says in great big red letters in every listing that we are not a salvage yard and we do not sell parts. They're not customers - and even if they are, I don't need the headache later of them complaining because they didn't bother to read or look at what was right in front of them.
If people want to have their hand held and be told to have a nice day no matter how stupidly they behave, they can shop at Wal-mart for all I care. Our feedback is 100% positive over the last several years and not dealing with people who should be under adult supervision helps keep it that way.
Now with that in mind; it's not a junkyard, it's a car lot; about 99% of what's there is for sale, but prices vary not only with the value guide figures and car conditions but the personal value to us of each vehicle and how much we care if we sell it or not.

Hey rk_carfarm welcome to the Supercar site. I haven't seen anything in your auctions that would quite fit into the "supercar" arena but you got some cool stuff and a great sense of humor.

The Q & A is very funny, he does say in his description he does not part out cars...yet people still ask him for parts. I guess they get the response that is needed.

One of the drawbacks to selling on eBay are all the people who have no money and/or no intention to bid on anything and ask all the questions. No wonder some sellers give harsh (often funny) answers. If one could only screen for serious prospective bidders!

My favorite are the people who ask you if you are selling other items that appear in the background of the picture listing or try to "beat you up" on a price...

Q: How are the tires? Can I drive it home? Thanks, Gary (Atlanta Ga)
A: You'd think someone would realize by now that after 10 years on eBay I've heard crap like this more times than I can count and it wasn't even funny the first time let alone the 10,000th.

I get a lot of stupid questions on ebay. I just answer them the best that I can. You never know who is a serious bidder or not. Not everyone knows "cars" or "numbers" or "vehicle applications" like most of us do. I do, however, get lots of questions... I answer them. Sometimes the ebay user never bids. Comes with the territory. The internet has turned a majority of the people in this hobby into flakes and no shows.
