I remember a thread on painting the dash area (between the dash pad and windshield)but I can't seem to find it.I thought the type of finish was known as SUEDE.I'm working with my paint rep. to find the formula (black) for this finish on my 67 Caprice but we're coming up short. It's not flat black and it's not satin. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gifAny help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Steve

Used Krylon Ultra flat and Krylon semi flat together, matched original perfectly and easy touch ups if needed.

The top of the dash was finished with paint having a 'suede' additive mixed in. It causes the paint to craze slightly. Do not know if that can be done with enamel.

Can't you just shoot it a bit 'dry' and get fairly close? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
