Probably a real dumb question but can someone pls tell me what is the correct original oil filter used on a 69 L78 Camaro?

I believe there is evidence that the early assembly line oil filter would have been a PF29 that was replaced early on with a PF25 that had an unpainted lip, was silk screened with blue and red lettering and had an embossed base.

So Denis, did you get the PF29 that ended yesterday on e-bay ?? If not, the same guy will have another one on in a month or so. You might just e-mail him if you weren't the high bidder. As for price range, I've seen NOS go from $40 to over $400.00 for a single PF29. Happy hunting.... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

It ended but I'm betting he's got some more stashed away. It's worth a try....

Nice, but I doubt my car (being last week of February-built) would have had the PF-29.
What do you think of this one?

The PF29 is very close to being released as a reproduction. I spoke to the person responsible for it recently. He told me that although it is visually accurate (especially on the car), it is slightly shorter than the original. As I know most of you are aware, the PF29 is considerably taller than the PF25.

The guy in front of the sand trap was my caddy. He would go ahead on each hole to watch where I hit it....Not that I didn't hit it anywhere but straight down the middle..Ok OK...maybe most were a little off line....
