I saw this hood on ebay months ago. same seller, dont know if it's the same one or he's making them in the basement. I wish he'd make one for a 65 Malibu.

I didn't even realize they used it until I looked the other day.
As usual; the car is the star. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif </font>

I've got a source for 'em. They are not made with the same technique as the one on on ebay, but they are good, modern composition.

I had some made from originals I've owned. The fellow who made them for me used to do the glass work for Holberts Porsche race cars.

The hood on E-bay is indeed a real hand laid original hood. For the right car its the one to get. I have 1 just like it off an original car and a second one made back @ the early 70's that I have posted pictures here of it before. The VFN hood is a great part I have several of them on cars I own. They will do custom mixs of styles as they built me a one off hood almost 20 years ago. Jim http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif

Is the hood with the finished underside not original? The car is a clone, but the guy I bought it from said he bought the hood from Motion long ago.

I just ordered a VFN stinger hood for my friend's 69 Chevelle. Through my racing shop I was able to get jobber/wholesale prices from VFN. We paid $400 for his bolt on version http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif(no S&amp;H as he picked it up - BTW S&amp;H is a killer on these parts).

If there were a few interested in making a purchase I would be willing to help out with the ordering.

They're a great company to work with. They have real nice fitting stuff.

I am pretty sure that car had the L-88 style hood on it. Speaking of that, what sort of hood is on that Vette in the background? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

The hood was purchased from Motion directly. The picture is from the Yenko 40th reunion this past summer and is on that web site. I linked to it as a quick reference. I am at work and have no other pictures here. If you want see more pictures of the car I'll try to dig some up. I have no clue how to post pictures, I would be more than happy to email them to someone that can post them.
