I'm far from a Ford guy but was impressed w/ the Mustang (it seems like a bargain) and I was really appreciating the Fairlane too...then I reached what appeared to be a loose, repop Vin tag...what's the story there? .

Pete that is a door tag reproduced by www.martiautoworks.com (http://www.martiautoworks.com) in Arizona. It can be reproduced only with documentation to back it up. Kevin Marti is well known among the Ford circle and is licensed by Ford Motor Company. The new tag will go with the car to the new owner. I must commend you on the keen eye!

Original on the car from new.

The info and service Marti provides Ford guys is obviously priceless but I didn't know he was repopping tags? .
I can't say I'm into repop tags of any sort but gotta' admit I may feel different if I had a Ford w/ a tag issue??? .
I wonder if he purposely uses slightly different fonts than the originals...and why did you get one when the original looks Ok? .

Nice cars...again the Mustang really seems like a deal! .

Ebay reserve is one thing, but I would consider upper $20's to sell quickly to someone on the site. Thanks.

Buy now for $26,000. This car is incredible and flawless! Well over $65k invested!

I wish you were closer to Atlanta, that is one sweet looking car http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/drool.gif. I'm surprised no one has jumped at the 26k price. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif That would be a fun car to cruise around in.

Just out of curiosity.... why would you invest 65K into a car and then turn around and sell it for 26K??? Just doesn't seem like real good business sense to me. Any chance you've invested in a 2006 ZO6? I'd be interested when you're ready to sell that! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I think the original owner sunk 65k into the car. I'm sure the present seller got into the car at a much lower (than 26k?) number.

I like how the high bidder wins the auction and then tries to figure out a way to buy it.

Charley actually the plot thickened. It got a little more interesting when I had another guy call me and say he was friends of the high bidder and going to buy the car. He too was using home equity. Well needless to say he flaked out also. The car was so nice I sold it to one of my brothers and it is on our showroom floor at one of our new car stores. He may take it to Barrett Jackson next year for the fun of it. Oh the Ebay stories I could tell!
