you could run over a dime and feel it. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif

Hey Charley
Did he say how he wrecked it? Looked like a wild ride?

It looks blue in the original pictures and green in the current ones; was it originally green or blue?

It was and is Rally Green. I forgot how he wrecked the first one.

Here's a version of the same series of photos with my amateur attempts at color cast removal and color balancing:

Charley, pretty car with great paperwork. I love it. Interesting how many cars were totaled early on and replaced with a nearly identical one. I have two window stickers from '63 fuelie Corvettes, the first one totaled and the second one 5,000 cars later identical. Tom Atchison of Dallas totaled his first '63 ZO6 Corvette and convinced GM to build another very late in the year. He still has the second one.

Charley,

Very nice car. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif Your vintage photos and story are over the top. Thanks for sharing. How 'bout a "formal" write up for members' rides? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

It amazing that the car that was totaled would be an easy restoration project now.

It's amazing - I was just thinking the vary same thing.

Ever wonder how many other long-gone cars could have been
ressurected if someone kept them. I can think of dozens
of cars thet met their fate that way. The most glaring for
me was a highly optioned Olds W-30 ( beautiful car ) that
met its end by the insurance adjuster. My gut told me to
buy that car even then. What was I thinking ! Oh yeah - SCRAP ! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
