OKAY everyone,
Since the "coolest factory hoods" of all time thread was
such a hit, I think we should consider another topic on
factory stripes. Due to the nature of this site, I think
we better include day-two stripe schemes as well. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hmmm.gif
The '69 D-90 ( hockey stick ) is one of my favorites.
The '69 & '70 Z/28's rank right up there with them.
Now, I'm no Mopar expert by any means, but I always liked
the flat black graphics on the '70 & up Cuda's & Challengers.
Some of the Mustangs ( forgive me ) weren't bad either.
Let's get some nice images of the stripe options started
here to go along with the hoods. Lastly, we can hit the
rear spoilers. Thet won't be a very long thread though....

A few of my favorite stripes are the early Z 28 Camaro's and SS Chevelles for starters.

Sometimes simple is good if the right color stripe is on the right color car which in turn is on the right car...

~ Anyone got a shot of those rare 'Judge style' eyebrow stripes on the '67 Impala SS427 cars...they're VERY cool! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif .
I always kinda' liked that center stripe that continued up and over the roof of the early AMX's too...I have no pics, probably wouldn't be able to figure out how to post 'em even if I did? .

I love the D-90 Camaro stripes, but I always wondered what
the '69 Camaro would have looked like with graphics like
this http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hmmm.gif
Does anyone know who the creative geniuses were at the big
three that came up with these stripes/graphics? I believe
Larry Shinoda worked on the Mustangs and possibly the early
Camaros. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

C'mon, guys, do you really think the skunk stripes are really the coolest? Or are they just the stripes on what you think are the coolest cars?
For the worst stripe, make it the Yenko Deuce! It absolutely does not go with the body lines at all!
For best? Hmm . . . I always thought the Dodge Scat Pack stripes were a nice idea. But the '68 4-4-2's optional stripe, while unconventional, was kinda cool:
