Wouldn't that make it January 2nd, 1968?

Denis;
"A" reperesents November, not January.
The date breaks down as follows:
8
A
2
The first character is the year of the decade, in this case, 1968, for an early 1969 model vehicle.
The second character is the month, with the numbers 1-9 representing January through September, "0" representing October, "A" representing November, and "B" representing December.
The last character is the week of the month, 1-5.
I hope that helps to clear things up.

Thanks, Eric. I didn't know that.
By the way, did I ever tell you the 4346 you sold me bolted right up and fired on the first try? All I had to do was set the idle speed.

I'd love to hear his car.

I should mention there are a few small "dings" on the top of the front float bowl, and I had to fill a small void on the base with epoxy. I can swap the bowl if it's an issue to any interested parties. The base is a non-issue, I just wanted the potential buyer to be aware of it.

Base:

This was done just to make sure there wouldn't be a vacuum leak once the carb is installed, the void was pretty shallow.
