I have a 1968 Yenko replica ('69 Stripes) with hideaway healights. The only parts of the headlight are the doors, nothing to make them open or close. I was thinking about going with electric motors over the original vacuum only because i thought it would be cheaper and easier. This is my 2nd camaro (1967 and 1968) and im only 17, so im pretty strapped for cash.
I saw on 'RicksFirstGen' that 1967 RS Camaro's have motors that run their healights, and they're only about $200.00 for the pair (Link Here (http://www.rickscamaros.com/cgi-local/SoftCart.exe/cgi-local/smpagegen.exe?U+scstore+byyd4004ff1e0c1e+-p+-c+scstore.cfg+RS-21RL)). But for 1968 and 1969 RS motors, i can't find them for less than $500, even on ebay. Does anyone know where to get cheaper headlight motors?
Also, what changed on the 1968 headlights that makes it so you cannot use the 1967 motors on them??
