Heads up to AZ car owners. Got wind of this about 10 days ago in local paper and now Hemmings has the news too.

AZ Emissions Exemption! (http://www.hemmings.com/newsletter/newsletter.html?volume=2&issue=29&id=860&refer=new s&emlid=119953#860)

This has been a long time coming and looked to be on its last legs more than once. I am surprised their definition of vintage car goes back 15 years and not 25 like most other participating states. In any case this is terrific news http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif for those affected....and good reason for the rest of you to consider our fair state! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

that makes perfect sense. when I go for my NY inspection they just look at the car from across the parking lot and hand me a scraper and a sticker. They dont want to put it on the lift to pull a wheel to check brakes, liability? They dont even offer to remove the old sticker (required for regular new cars). I had to wait thirty years to breeze through inspections and get cheap insurance.

Life is good. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif
