Does anyone know the part number on the steering knuckle for a 67 Z-28? Is it the same as a 69?
I think originally they used Part #3894475,used on 1967-68 Camaros & Chevelles w/Frt.Disc brakes,and 1968 Novas w/Frt.Disc brakes.
1967 Camaros w/o Frt. Disc used a different knuckle,part #3902952.
1969 Z/28's also used a different knuckle that went by part #3966151.
In the early 1970's,they discontinued the 475 knuckle and merged the same earlier Frt. Disc brake vehicles with the 151,so that one will work on your car,if you don't want to be assembly line correct.

The #s on mine are 3902519 but I do not think they are correct. If anyone has an original 67 Z-28 I would like to know the numbers on the steering knuckles. Thanks

Thanks Mark,
Those are the numbers on mine, I could not find them in Jerry's books. I didn't think they were the same as 69's. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

The number on my pitman arm is 3908391. Mark you need to write your own book of numbers. I was getting ready to pull it off.
Do you know if the engine mounts have numbers on them? What are they?

I don't have those written down Steve, but I'll check the next time I am out at my car. I believe they are the same for all small blocks though...

Any time Steve...nice to see you are working on the Z! I bought a bunch of stuff for mine this weekend and may have solved the original motor mystery http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

I was glad to read you are keeping your 67 Z. I hope you can find your motor. I know it can happen, it happened to me. Good Luck

Thanks Steve...Yep, your car is a perfect example of what can happen with these cars. My motor may have never been lost after all. Luckily, the machine shop didn't chuck it out yet! I'll know more when the mail arrives later this week. It's hard to believe that some folks still don't have digital cameras http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif
Sorry KNAPPY..I listed the complete Knuckle arm assembly package which included your knuckle arms, brake shoes, anchor pin & locks... I blame Korbel.
1969 Z/28's used knuckles #3954875-LH & #3954876-RH.
