I know that Tom was a member here for quite a while...and then differences of opinion happened...

I have had continuing conversations with him...due to the fact that he had leukemia and had undergone a stem cell transplant...so he and my daughter shared some of the same problems and medications.

No matter what you think of what happened in the past...we have lost a really neat guy...

Rest in peace Tom...the hurting is over. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

That does suck! I also did not know he was ill. As outspoken as he may have been to some people, he was still a very cool car guy! God rest his soul and my condolences to his family as well. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I was fortunate enough to spend some time with Tom on two different occasions in the past few years. I enjoyed his company and his outspoken personality. He will indeed be missed. My sincere condolences go out to Robin and son Tom.

I dealt with Tom at one point and had several emails with him. Real honest guy and a true drag racer at heart! Real sorry about our loss. Hopefully being a very sorrowful situation this is and knowing Tom will be missed by ALL musclecar sites this can bring our great hobby together. All of us have faults and short commings but once we realize we are not in control and only Christ has that power we will become a much stronger and happier human being. Obviously he will be missed by all sites. Life is short and unfair. I think it is time that all of us try to make mends with our friends and sometime foes. Sam

I wasn't aware of any health problems, but then, I had only talked with Tom once or twice. I did a small project for Tom and asked for no compensation. Tom wouldn't hear of it and sent me a 'token of appreciation'.
My only dealings with him were positive.

Godspeed Sir.

I never got to meet Tom. But when I was looking for information about the 1968 Yenko Camaro´s and the MV coded 396 engines, he sent me e-mails with information about his unconverted car. It was much appreciated.
Rest in peace.

didn't really know Tom, except an eBay transaction we did years ago. I pray his family is able to cope with such a tremendous loss. It's terrible to hear this sort of news.

I really thought Tom was going to beat this. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Tom was nice enough to include my NonSupercar in the Super Chevy/SuperCar Concourse show during July of 2001 at Indianapolis Raceway Park.
I was pretty hesitant, but Tom assured me all would be fine and made me feel welcomed and relaxed among the others. He made all who participated that week feel that way and was totally without bias.
Afterwards we would bump into eachother at midwest area swapmeets and car functions.
His enthusiasm with these vehicles was as strong & great as any of ours here.
Once he noticed something was missing from my Chevelle,he promptly had a close friend send it to me,with no questions asked. Our personnal running joke was me trying to repay him for that in many different forms, yet he always saw it coming and would quickly deny it. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
I was rivited by his past history & knowledge with cars,as well as the cars he had owned in the past.He recently acquired the 1968 L-78 Camaro that he bought brand new off the lot from Kenny Ross Chevrolet in Pa.,and that was truly a dream of his he always wanted to accomplish.
He was always willing to share information and facts with anyone on ANY website.
I took this Photo of Toms beautifully restored 1969 Lemans Blue Yenko Chevelle in July 2001 at Indy,as he pulled up and displayed next to me.
My condolences to his wife Robin..he was a good guy to know and share with, and I for one will miss him.

Oh man, what a shocker to hear this. Tom went way out of his way to help me out with parts ID in the past. Truly a stand-up guy and a true Chevy enthusiast long before these cars became all the rage. My heartfelt condolences to his family.
