I got to meet Mickey in person when he was having a "garage sale" at his old shop back in the late '70s. I am so happy they nailed this SOB. Now they need to track down the guys who pulled the trigger.

It's funny how stories get started. After Mickey was killed, I heard a wild story that drug dealers had murdered his son and Mickey was about to turn them in, so they killed him. They said the drug dealers dropped his son out of a helicopter over the ocean! I believed that all these years because I never heard anything different.
I'm really glad they finally got the guy responsible for his death. Mickey was one of the largest icons we have from "the day"! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif
There are some great pictures (probably Hollywood-made) of the Challenger-1 on the flats in the movie "The World's Fastest Indian".

I used to work with a guy who ground the cams used in Challenger 1.
