Seems to me that car has been discussed at length before, either here or on Team Chevelle, or both. Definitely not the first time it's been on eBay.

Wasn't this car the one that said "Chevalier" on the appraisal?

That sounds familiar. My recollection is the appraisal was a comedy of errors....but that's obviously been redone now.

Paging ORIGLS6.
Wasn't there a discussion while standing outside the convention center at SCR9 about your little lady saying something to the effect of "wouldn't it be neat to have a LS6 conv. to match our car?"Oh yea I also remember you saying "do you know how much that would cost?" http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif
Looks like a very nice car.I'm in awe of all of the nice cars out there.Including a certian black 70 Chevelle LS6 coupe http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif

As we have heard it would have to go in the driveway because the garage is to cluttered up or something? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Sweet piece and it appears a nicely done car...but why no pics of the mentioned build sheet, tags and stampings? .

This description from someone who seemingly understands this level of detail leaves a few questions...and using the 'correct' word and 'matching numbers' can only mean just that...if it was THE original engine & trans, wouldn't you expect it would be noted as such? .

I guess many buyers don't know, care or want to know these days...but to those who truly care about authenticity, seeing a copy of the mentioned build sheet, tags and stampings would sure go a lot further than any appraisal!? .

This is defenitely the one with the "Slightly wrong Build sheet" and it has been discussed before although I thought it sold for $208,000 ??? Who knows on Ebay ,what games are going on ? Anyhow at that price it better be a pretty good Re-creation"

I've seen the ignition wire protectors shown on this car advertised in various catalogs, but have seen them on very few cars. I was wondering if they were correct for '69-70 big blocks as I have seen them advertised, or were they limited to LS6 or? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

-----Jerry,,,,The only vehicles I have ever seen those heat-shields on are trucks. Never, never have I seen them on an original Chevelle. As an aside, Im sure Im not the only one to be overly surprised at the number of other underhood discrepencies on this "LS6 convertable".......Bill S

As far as I know, no big block Chevelles and certainly not the LS-6 came with any plug heat shields such as these. I have seen these on a few cars and some that I even considered somewhat original day II cars but I am pretty convinced they were add ons.

The "SS454" fender emblems are not in their proper location. They are too high on the fender. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I bought a unmolested 69 caprice police car that had a 396 2bbl and it had the same heat shields around the plugs maybe only big cars http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
