That was my freinds car he traded it to Don Sitts in cuyahoga fall for a 04 Z06 corvette.I think Sitts sold it on e-bay about 4 months ago for $40,000.This car is a very very clean original black plate cali car.

its a clone... nothing more, nothing less.

"this car started out life as a 283 c.i powerglide. it has been carefully converted to the muscle car you see here. this car has been done to exact factory specs, no detail was overlooked when coverting this car to an awesome L78 recreation. evryone who see's this car cannot believe the attention to detail"

I wonder why GM didn't offer this engine in the Chevelle 300? They offered the L79 in the Chevy II 100 and the L72 in the Biscayne. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hmmm.gif

Car is beautiful Pete. One you would take and drive like they were made to be driven and more important like we were shown to drive them.
Not from one piece of carpet to another like most clones or rebodied that were sold as something they never were.
Blow her up so what go get another block. Boy he must have searched for that heater delete.

We are putting gtogether a black/red 66 300 for my dad right now. 496 inches with a stick, should be a fun car. See the Green one at Autorama last winter and its a really nice ride.
