OK gentlemen - I am always in awe of the knowledge on this board. Someone ALWAYS has an answer, so here's my question.
What was the part number for the shifter on a '67/'68 bench seat 4 speed car? I have my bench seat ready, just need the correct shifter.
Appreciate the help!!!

Chevrolet changed the shifter design and shifter handle design in 1968, so the 68 one is totally different from 67. What year car do you have?

I am actually wanting to build a '69 bench seat Camaro. I have both '67 and '68 bench seats, so that part is 'solved'. I guess with a change in design I could use either year. Would appreciate any help you could give on both those part numbers, and I am definitely up for a purchase if someone has one.
I've been looking at some Nova shifters, and they look close to the ones I have seen in cars...
Thanks
Tas

It was the AL4 option in '67 and '68 - around 11,000 cars made that way. I just like the bench seat 4 speed thing, and even thought Chevy didnt offer it in '69, I figure I can put it in there...

Sounds real cool. Would it have the fold down arm rest like the big chevs did.
