Does anyone know whether in the case of a 1970 L78 with automatic in a Nova Tonawanda affixed a "CTY" yellow engine sticker at the rear of the passenger side valve cover. If so does anyone reproduce the sticker. Thanks Bob http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

There weren't any engine code labels/stickers on the BB Nova valve covers....I believe that was a Camaro thing http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hmmm.gif have seen it done though by those with artistic license...

Tom,
Thanks for confirming what i thought. I have the original valve covers on my 1970 L78 auto, with no evidence of a sticker ever being on them, yet see a lot of restos done with the decal.
I've yet to see an unmolested 1970 L78 Chevelle with one either,be it CTY or CKO.

Dean,is your 1970 an early build date car with a mechanical linkage and a kickdown switch at the carburator? Would like to know how to hookup the wiring on the kickdown switch http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif Bob
