Repo trim tags...You would then assume both cars are fakes.

This photo, to me, says Look at me, I have no clue what I built !
This is the Tripple Crown of the Camaro world !!
a) "Upside down cowl seal" , my personal favorite, about half the Camaros and Chevelles @ B-J I saw were this way, some were big money cars parked inside.
b) "Fan shroud Ford sticker", there wrong on alot of Fords too.
c) "Fake cowl tag"
I won't mention the master cylinder, opps !
Craig and Sun Glasses Boy can brag all they want about the 1200 plus car auction, the field I saw could have been be trimmed down to about 600 cars, that would have improved the overall quality of cars by 100%.
It was a fun learning experiance, and well worth the money for the Bidder pass, was more fun that a trip to Cedar point.

No No No... Not FAKES.. "recreations"... and if you ask the sellers, they would probably tell you.. but if you don't ask?? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Those trim tags are obvious forgeries. Anyone know if that was disclosed? If not the new owners may have a cause of action for fraud, in my humble opinion.
I won't go into my usual rant about fake tags, but what really pisses me off about the B-J connection is this. We kept hearing about how many thousands of cars were turned away because they just weren't good enough. Surely, B-J has employees that are sharp enough to spot these fake tags. If they allow these cars to be misrepresented "by the seller", they are just as much a part of the fraud as the guy who stamped it and the crook who installed it.
How many times during the auction this year did you hear the announcers state that there was "full disclosure" about an engine not being original, a car being a clone, or some other aspect on non-originality? They also kept saying that the descriptions and the disclosures were the "responsibility of the seller". Sure looked like a transparent attempt to escape liability.
Those tags are so obvious, no knowledgeable person could miss them.

Don't you mean 'Restoration tags'...and of course only the 'correct' ones would do? .

The only person I know that goes regularly to Barrett Jackson is the biggest scum-bag politican around here. He likes to show up and grease palms with all the other crooks I reckon.
But what do I know, I am only on track to become an in-law to said poltician.

The "fake" tags/cars are all over, no reason to believe that the B-J auction wouldnt have their share.
