70-73 Camaro Rocker trim

Does anyone have a reasonably nice set (i.e. driver quality or better) of 70-73 Camaro rocker mouldings hanging around? Price IS an object for me so I'd like to find the best 'bang for the buck'.

A reasonable set of take-offs from a resto would be great.

Hello Rick, I want to publically acknowledge your misc knowledge regarding 1970 Camaros.
Can you comment on the appearance of the repop rocker moldings for NON judged LEGENDS type cars......
and do you have any comments/opinions on restoring/repolishing/reanodizng $$$$$ the Originals..........

I have compared the repros next to the GM moldings and standing 3 feet away I could not tell the difference. The repros come with the mounting hardware as well. For the non-judged cars they are perfect.

The problem with trying to restore originals is that they have to be almost perfect or defect free before you restore them. Most of these molding got hammered by rocks, stones or whatever the driver ran over. Getting all of the nicks, dings and dents is a pain and can cost more then they are worth.

I plan on putting the repros on my 70 Z. They look very good.

i have a orig set looks nos that someone had installed on a 69 years ago and drilled a small hole in the middle for a screw...Id be happy to hook someone up if they could use -em ...but iam afraid they would get trashed in shipping...

Scott,,,Put them in a piece of PVC pipe. Tape the ends , and stick a label on them. Works every time for me!!!
I know that the repro 69 rocker trim is way softer aluminum than the original GM trim. Dont know about the 70 up but beware. They can be damaged so easily its rediculous........Bill S
