Very nice Project. I'll have to get the cowl tag and engine numbers for my SS427 database. Once this car is added it'll be up to 112 cars.

Thanks for posting those. You woudn't happen to be able to make out the Tonowanda number? Maybe it's my screen but all I can make out is T___0IE. It's very interesting that they were still making these into the last week of July 68, since the 69 models were coming out shortly after.

Hey Phil,
I'd need the vin number, and all the cowl tag information. Also, if you have any of the original engine/trans/rear numbers, those are appreciated as well. Aside from entering it in the SS427 database, I will also put it in my 64-70 Fullsize car database which is currently up to about 5000 cars It's great to see so many Z24 cars surfacing!
Thanks in advance for your help http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Just posted for numbers.. that car was pulled out of a dirt lot at Candlestick Park in San Francisco many years ago and was bought by my buddy at lien sale for 200 dollars... it has been the community car for over 25 years... I towed my 24 ft day cruiser with it from 1985 to 1988...it will never get sold only passed around our group until the end of time.Though it looks beat that car starts right up and runs and drives fantastic to this very day .I know this picture is from 1984 because that is the year I restored my split window...

Thanks for posting. That car was ordered with some very interesting options, cruise, tach/gauges, atc, disc brakes..It's so strange that they would have spent 300+ for an a/c option, and not ordered something like Z03. They must have needed to seat six pretty badly..lol Do you ever think you will put it back to red?

Not sure if that car will ever get restored in this life time . We have talked about it but there is always a project that ends up taking precedence. The talk about the restoration has been coming up on occasion for the last 20 years. The car also has power windows .
