Hi Dana,
Thanks for showing me your car and after seeing it in person the pictures do it no justice. As you know my problem is space to store cars and I don't want to get rid of any cars I have. If I can find some storage space(I need at least 2) I'll call you to discuss purchasing your car. Good luck anyway and keep me posted.

Thanks for stopping by Dave, it is always a pleasure talking to you. You have to get rid of a BIG car, these little ones don't take up much room.

Hi Dana,
Would you be interested in a real L72 427/425 1966 Biscayne for partail trade on your Vette?

Thanks James,
Just acquiring parts, but getting closer. I am going to start the bodywork soon. When it gets blown apart I will start a thread on the resto.

Thanks Joe. I like to find cars that I don't mind keeping regardless of the market. I can look at a stock certificate or one of these, easy call.

All the time. I would pull the F40 shocks though and put in a box, kinda rough on the kidneys. Be better with radial tires too, but I love the look of the bias. Best running 396 I have ever had. I run that Tetraethyl in the fuel and it works great, no pinging and runs cool. Not a trailer queen, which I think was your question. Also car was bought new at dealer in Detroit if anyone remembers it? Have owners back to 71. Plenty of pics in the 1st post by hitting info link.

-----Dana,,,What dealer in Detroit, if I may ask??? Have you talked to Jim Gessner (aka VetteFinderJim) in relation to this car??? He has a bunch of customers most of the time just waiting for no.1 cars to come out of the woodwork......Bill S

Hey Bill
Jim actually located the car for me originally, it is a small world. He is aware of the car and has brought a few potential buyers by to see it. I will get the dealers name from the binder and post it.

The dealer was Paul McGlone Chevy, 19001 Joy Rd., Detroit. Dealer was bought by George Matick in 66 and moved to 14001 Telegraph Rd. Redford Township. Did you know it?

I will make adjustments for keeping real K.O.'s and putting on repro's or caps. Also can change tele column for std. Looking at any reasonable offer, have another car in restoration. Thanks

Hi Bill,
This is a neat car. Body off frame restored in the 1989-92 era. Won lots of awards. The owner then just drove it for about 5000 miles over the next 15 years. Dana has done a super clean up on the car. It will TOP FLIGHT easily. The history goes back to Detroit, but most of it's early life was in Pensacola, Florida and Texas, hanging with the Navy jet jockeys that owned the car. Only about 4 owners until now.

Remember McGlone Chevy very well....lived three blocks from there. Matick is still in business on Telegraph road in Redford Mich.
