1970 "CRR" coded 512 4-bolt main block standard bore, never decked, dated J-31-9. Bores have been greased, and has been in storage for quite a while. Selling this for a friend, who is looking for best offer on it. He doesn't want to list on eBay, so I recommended putting a listing on here. Please e-mail me at [email protected] if interested.

I believe you must post a price or the ad will be removed.

Joey, I'm a long time lurker here, and thoroughly enjoy your cynical wit, but there's nothing I'm hiding. If someone wanted to sell junk, eBay would be more the format to do it, if you wanted to rip someone off. In fact, I would prefer to hand the block over to someone after letting them look at it, and don't want to ship it. The guy that I'm brokering the blocks for doesn't want them listed on eBay, because he bought them from a family friend, and he doesn't want the guy to feel like he just bought them to sell (even though that's the deal, for the most part).
If someone is interested in these, they're more than welcome to put an eyeball on them. He also has a "512" CE block, dated E-18-71, if someone is interested in that, as well as a 2-bolt "512" block dated J-17-9. All are for sale.
I recommended that he put the block on here because this is "The" supercar site. I'm not forcing anyone to buy. If you need one of these blocks, here it is. If not, have a great day, and keep on looking.

Mike - thanks for the clarification, but as Jason noted, the policy here is that all "for sale" ads must list a price. I'm sure people appreciate the blocks being offered here first http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

I'm not sure what to ask for it, that's why I didn't put a price. In the interest of being compliant, I'll say $2500 to put a number on it, but best offer will be accepted.

I send Mike an email last night requesting pics, and he replied " Do you really think pictures are necessary, We all know what one looks like.Come take a look. it is what it's suppose to be. Great answer for a guy who want's to sell a block on this site, with no price, and no pics of the castings and pad stamp????

Do you know how disheartening it is to get e-mails from people that say "Any pics", and that's it? They're not motivated enough to call you, or to get in their car or truck to look at your items for sale. Two weekends ago, I took my truck and trailer to pick up a documented '69 SS Chevelle that was 8 hours each way drive time. I didn't send the guy e-mails saying "Any pics", I called him and got a feel for both him and the car by asking specific, pointed questions.
If you wanted pictures of the pad stamp, and the castings, then you should have broke a sweat and typed a little more aggressively, asking for what you wanted using complete sentences, kind of like my 6 year old does.

The "CRR" block is sold, pending receipt of funds. Thanks to all on this site.

Not meant as a shot against your comment as I know where you are coming from but sometimes this is very important. Just ask Chad. He asked for pictures and the seller refused (don't have time) so he made the drive.................. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif He and I have done this many times and ending up costing a ton of money and time over the lack of a simple photograph.
