Since it's been nice the past couple of days I decided to put my dock in the water here in NJ and put the hitch on the 2000 SS and put my boat in for the season today. The SS actually tows really well. But the river is ice cold and it's running a little high due to snow melt flowing down from NY. And the trailer hitch really stiffen up the rear and helps the car get better traction.

Did you have to beef up your rear springs? I've thought of getting a 50's Airstream Bammbi to tow behind my camaro.

I was wondering about getting back up the ramp with the boat on the trailer. I didn't see the front hubs on that Camaro, or is that the AWD model.

Nope, stock SS suspension which is beefier than the Z28. No problems on slippery boat ramps either. The boat is pretty light(under 600 lbs with motor) so it's not bad to tow at all. I used to tow with my 88 4Runner which was gutless but this tows much better thanks to the suspension and power.
