Hello,
I am in need of a GM Muncie 4 speed shift handle that fits 68-72 Chevelle / Impala or El Caminos with bucket seats.

Thanks
Rob M.

Rob: Impala is not the same. Do you need a chevelle or impala handle.
Joe
here is impala/chelelle console and impala/chevelle bench.
Chevelle will almost always have a part number on the handle impala never seems to.

Kind of a long story, but I have Hurst linkage in my car along with the Hurst handle. I would like to replace the Hurst shifter handle with a Muncie. I know I will have to do a little fabricating at the connection point but I think it can be done. From some of the research that I have done the above Chevelle shifter will work with the least amount of welding and cutting. I know it won't be exact, but I really love the Hurst linkage. Here is a link to a pic that I tried fabricating with a shifter handle that came from a chevelle for a console... It looks bad.

As you can see the "twist" in the handle really screws it up. It is also too tall. So that is why I thinking the bucket seat handle will work....
