I think I have that issue too Verne.

You gotta love the Midwest ingenuity; "Hey Mom, can I use your cake pan?" http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif

I still have the letter I received from Rich Mancuso announcing the availability of a car I had sought from a number of Midwest dealers; the 'YENKO DEUCE'. And I had given up and just ordered a new '70 Chevelle! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

------Verne,,,Malcomb and his wife stayed in the next room from mine in Indiana at a match race once and I got to know him pretty well. What a gentleman and gentle man. He had his sons with him and I could see how close his family was. Nice people, great racers!!!........Bill S

I've always loved and wondered what happened to this Dazzler chevelle. Mancuso Chevrolet received a black-with-red-guts 1963 Z-11 Impala in '63 and this is the car that was stripped of its running gear to build the Dazzler. The 283 from the Chevelle was then put into the Z-11 Impala body and sold as a street car. Wow. A black on red, aluminum front end Z-11 Impala street driven with a 283. Somebody find that car!

Belair, do you remember in the summer of '77 when Mancuso Chevrolet had a ZR1 Corvette advertised for sale? It was one they ordered new and sold then took it on trade. I can't remember if it was a '70 or '71, but it was special ordered by Rick with some unusual options. It was silver with black leather and a roadster with a hardtop. I've wondered where that car went. At the time, I thought the ZR1 option was the ZL1 option and I was corrected by Rick.
He educated me on the ZR1 option and showed me the paperwork on the car in the form of a letter from GM. Strange car with power windows. Asking price at the time was $15,000.

I can't say I remember much of 1970..but a few guys at school had Mancuso cars too. In fact I can think f4 off the top of my head...

Do remember the Mancuso Cadillac commercials from the late 1970's?

<font color="blue">The Biggest tires I could put on mine were
235/70-15 street tire with the 15x7 wheels.(pictured)
I tried 9x28 slicks; would have to roll the lip &amp; hammer the wheelwell.

I ended up running 8x26 slicks on a steel rim.
(painted black with chrome lugs, of course).
