I brought my 71 SS 454 Chevelle home a couple weeks ago and the first thing I did was pull the rear seat out to look for the build sheet. All I could find were some tiny unreadable bits that the mice left me. Last night I was looking through the Team Chevelle Forum and found a thread on buildsheets on Arlington built cars which should be located under the tar paper on the drivers side. Well even though it was 10:00 pm I ran out, pulled the drivers' seat and carpet, peeled back the tar paper and there it was. It was only legible in a couple areas because it was soaked with tar oil. I took it to work today and soaked it with prepaint wax and grease remover for a few minutes and the oil started melting off. After drying I could read almost everything especially the important stuff. Here are a few pics.
