Car will be at the Carlisle auction Saturday afternoon 4:30 ish.
Sept 68 Build date. Rallye green [code 79] Deluxe interior [712]
Many new parts including seat covers.
Drives super.
I've checked every possible # on the heads, block and rear end [including gears] Every code and date is perfect, including water pump and fan.
Trim tag never off the car.
Real car absolutly. No re-stamp.
Has black stripes, should be white, has cowl hood, should be flat, has wide spoilers should be narrow, wrong carb...
No reserve.
Car is MUCH nicer than the picture...that was the day I bought it. Has 7' wheels now...sand & buff...only picture I have because of the nor-easter...

Does this ad require that a price be posted? Just curious.

I believe the car will be on the auction block at Carlisle on Saturday at 4:30. You need to bid at that time and place.

I think you need to provide a price if you list an item in the Classifieds section. This posting is in 'Events'.

Denis, it was moved here from the Classifieds after a short discussion about price posting.

All the auctions are no reserve. You can determine the price.
This was the response when this issue was brought up in the parts section and the seller in question runs there ebay ads in the parts section all time with no price.

Nice car. Are bidders numbers $125 again this year? I feel this keeps all impulse buyers out.

Tom, It's way nicer than when you saw it. New seat covers, Even though car was painted some time ago it was never sanded and buffed...my guy spent three days sanding and buffing...and could have done more..[always could do more]
Not a trailer queen but way better than it was when I bought it and the guy had a garage full of trophys...
I got a lousy run number, #210 of 260 cars..I think it's going to be a bargin, but it's going to sell. The guys here are trying to talk me into putting a reserve on it but I'm doing my best to just sell it. I'm a little worried there won't be any money left by the end of the day...

Was this the same car that was owned by a guy named Morris, and was for sale at Larz Anderson?
IIRC, it had some visible previous quarter work behind the rear wheels (lower quarters), and some weird stuff going on with panel gaps, especially the front fenders at the windshield. Was all of this repaired as well before the auction? Even with the flaws it was a nice car, though Morris wanted too much for it at the time.
I'm curious what the auction price ended up being, and/or what driver-caliber cars like this are currently bringing. I've gotten the green light from the boss, and I'm now looking for a driver Z that I can set up for track days.
