My daughters 16th birthday is next month.Found a little gem to surprise her with.

It's a super nice Powder Blue 79 Capri. The thing is in incredible condition for being 28 years old. It's showing 98k,no rot, mint interior, dry underneath and rolling late 90's GT wheels.

It has a straight six/AT/PS/AC.

Hopefully she will like it. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

If she doesn't like it she was raised wrong which I am sure is not the case.

Take a hint from someone with experience giving a daughter a car when she turned 16.........explain to her what those little cranks on the each door are for. My daughter was absolutely clueless how to open the windows on her car until I showed her the cranks. I won't bore you with the "age" comments I heard from her after that. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Very nice car.

Jimmy,

I'll tell you what. If your daughter decides she doesn't
like it ( can't imagine why though ), I'll take it for my
oldest daughter, who is about to start driving herself.

Nice find http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That color sure looks like it fits well in NC.

I totally dig that interior!!!

That would be the car I'd put my daughter in, if I had one! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

If she LOVES it, then we have a clue to the future of the car hobby, right?

Popular then.............Popular now.

Nice little car. Any Kid should appreciate something that nice.I love the color,I bought a 1976 Ford Granada that was the same color or very close to it which was my VERY FIRST NEW CAR.

I gave my daughters my triple black loaded one owner Monte Carlo. They said it looked like a "mafia" car and wouldn't drive it. I almost traded it for a manx dune buggy but my wife gave me one of those looks. I sold it and gave the girls the cash and let them buy their own cars. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

If you can find or get the original TRX wheels and tires do so. They are getting pricey

The verdict is in,she's in love.

Showed it to her and she says "It looks old"

I said "Yeah, they don't make'em like this anymore" then I hit the fender with a hammer and it just bounced off.

I said "I bet you can dent your sister's Mitubishi with your pinkie finger, since it is made out of aluminum foil. Go give it a try"

She did,it did $1700 worth of damage,case closed. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Get your daughter a jeep, it will be perfect in NC, and any jeep is cool when youre in high school, you wont ever hear the "old car" comment.
