Holt Vette Sales in MI. is representing this car (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=016&sspagename=STRK%3AME WA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=260108914392&rd=1&rd=1) as an ex fuel injected coupe. It is not! . It is an original 365HP car. I owned it for 22 years and know it's history from it's birth up till last spring. I have contacted them about it twice and have not received a responce. I am hoping they are at Carlisle and get back to me today and change the auction discription. In the mean time, I wanted to pass this along in case any of you guys were interested in the car. I'll hit the Vette forums if they do not do the right thing. VIN 40837S109220.

Gary,I just asked Holt Auto Sales if he was sure if the motor was in fact a fuel injected motor on the auction so it should show up on the auction site http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif.Maybe that will get him to change the auction http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif.If it doesn't we could fill his auction with questions and answers.
I'm also only a hour away to go look at it like a possible buyer.

I have to go to MI this weekend for my nieces graduation. This place is 40 minutes from there. I would love to stop in and check it out. I have my doubts as to me having enough time to do that though. It's kind of ironic the car ended up there as it was sold in MI when it was new. Then, it was flat towed to AZ in the early 70's and I bought it from there.
If it still has the block in it that it had when I sold it, it IS the original block. The suffix should be RE (365HP 327). But, the E was changed to an F back in the 70's (375HP FI 327). This was done back when this kind of stuff was almost unheard of. Yes I did it http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif. I was going to put a fuel unit on it and was never going to sell the car. But things change. I sold it as a 365HP car with an obvious change done to the stamp. Stevie Wonder, in a helicopter, could see what I did. There are no other signs of fuel injection either. It still has the original core support and all the original fiberglass that does not have signs of the fuel injection emblem holes being filled in.
I've talked to these guys on the phone several times about other cars they had that I was interested in. They seemed ok to me. I still have not heard from them though.

I just talked to Mike at Holt. He said he was real sceptical about my email as he has a lot of wacko's that message him on these mid year cars. The guy before me told him he was the original owner and had the injection unit for it. Sheesh. Anyway, he is supposed to modify the add. Selling price, when they thought it was a fuelie car was 70K http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif. I made them an offer on it. We'll see how it goes.

I just wish he would create a new auction instead of answering a question, that is probably Kendall's, at the bottom of the page.

Gary that is my question at the bottom of the auction. It didn't sound like he was going to come clean about the stamping otherwise I wouldn't have asked him the question on the auction.I just wouldn't want to be the buyer of the car and then find out it was a very nice Corvette without a fuelie motor in it as stated. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

They ended the auction due to an error in the listing. I'll keep my eyes open for it to pop back up again.
