I would like to find a 67 Yenko corvette to add to my Yenko car collection. Does anyone know of one? ( I should have been watching the one that sold @ B/J , but I was asleep ) THANKS Wayne.

The car sold at BJ was a Yenko sold Corvette. The Corvette was given to Michael Summers who drove the Best Photo sponsored Yenko '66 L72/M22 Corvette (1 of 15). It does not have the original motor but it is a tank sticker documented 435 car. There are hundreds of original photos of the two cars together since the prime sponsor was a photography company.
is this it???

Yep. That's it. As mentioned the car does have a re-stamped motor, but the History with this car is just fascinating.
Here is the B-J link. Lot #1326

Was that car ever sold at Carlisle ? I recall one similar that was sold 3 times in one day at Carlisle, two guys from Canada were the final buyers that day.

Kevin McKay's?
Anybody know if that car spent some of its life in the Syracuse area? BEST was from Syracuse and I vividly remember a car from my youth that looked very similar.
Mike
The car was certainly not as fresh as when it was completed by Nabers Motors. It was owned by a collector in Dallas and he's the one that had it restored. His cars are always stunning and he's owned (and owns) some amazing stuff.
I was a bit disappointed in it's condition when I saw it in Phoenix in January. It looks like it has been driven, that's OK, but it was not at all crisp. Had blue streak radials on it for driving.

I didnt think Yenko made a corvette, I know he raced them and prepared some. Phil
It's a Corvette that was ordered from Yenko Chevrolet. Nice colors and options, but it had no special treatment from Yenko. I believe the Warranty Plate was signed by Don Yenko as the salesman and it's the real deal Warranty Plate.

Don Yenko was pretty crafty. He figured out how to get the factory to drop a Corvette motor into that car. Instead of using the COPO system to order the car, he used something called the RPO system.
