Psycho II 1963 Chevy II Vintage Nickey Sold Gasser.

I purchased this Vintage Gasser with no docs or verified info. There was a story that the car may have ties to Nickey Chevrolet.

The car itself, is a time capsule, of the way it has been since circa 1971. The sponsors and stickers placed the car in the Chicago area.

It has been discussed and much of its history documented and uncovered right here on this site.

NICB info confirms that the Chevy II was sold new at Nickey Chevrolet in 1963. I have info regarding the last owners who had the car from, I believe 1967-68 and the history from when it was parked in 1971 up until today.

The unconfirmed info is who actually built the car and its history from 1963-1967.

I have been told by more than one person that an employee of Nickey Chevrolet Built and worked on this car at the dealership and that the car was set up as a street/match money racer. Several people have remembered seeing/racing against the car on the streets of Chicago.

Don Swiatek, Manager of Nickey's Hi-Performance Cars and Parts Dept did inspect the car and didn't remember it in its current color scheme, but did remember such a car in white(this car was once white) and that an employee did indeed own the car. He just couldn't remember who that person is?

(Don was not a drag racer per se, he was into turning left on oval dirt tracks.)

I have shown the car at two Chevy Vette Fests as a true Barn Find and in as found condition in hopes getting more info about the car.

Please see this thread for more info; http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/showflat...true#Post173571 (http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=racing&Number=173571&Searc hpage=2&Main=173571&Words=Stefano&topic=&Search=tr ue#Post173571)

The car gets as much, if not more attention than any car I have ever shown. It would not be a complicated restoration as all the rare vintage parts as still with the car.

Price is $65,000.00.

Stefano,

It looks like you went top drawer for the "For Sale" sign and the duct tape to mount it. Must be that "200 mile an hour tape" that Darrell Waltrip speaks of. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif

I would have given anything to see that car make a pass on the street in it's heyday

Those are the pics which were initially sent for to me, for a decision, soon after Psycho Too was purchased from Joe Zabo's widow.

You guys are a tough crowd.

You can be certain I won't be using the POS engine you sold me anytime soon!
