Spanish Law if far different than what we have in the USA. You wont find any lawsuits from the bike rider against the Spanish Cops. They did just what they have been doing for years. stop the bad guy period!!!

That guy would be able to SUE the police in AMERICA.
Its a shame what criminals get away with in the US.

WE need a picnic table for the electric chair. Six at a time. Last Meal !! NONE !! Save the food for the hungry !

A former Ohio Supreme Court justice told me once that Ohio needed an "eletric bleachers" instead of the chair. Too many people on death row making endless appeals. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif
Now we have the more humane leathal injection. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif Just to be on the safe side, (or more PC), the nurse administering the IV swabs the arm before inserting the needle. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif WTF, are they worried about infection? Why even bother with a sterile needle. So what if the guy gets HIV for 18 minutes. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bs.gif

BTW, I was expecting Bruce to point out that the hostage taker demanded a motorcycle, and they gave him a helmit?
Or was he worried about the ticket he might get for riding without one. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hmmm.gif

While the rest of the country is debating whether death by lethal injection is humane The Great State of Texas has put in an "express lane"

"I wasn't born here but I got here as fast as I could"

Rich,

Sorry to hear about your niece.

Some Facts about Capital Punishment:

The state of Texas executes more people than any other jurisdiction in the Western world. The death toll is : of the 74 executions carried out in the United States of America (USA) during 1997, one-half (37) occurred in Texas, a record number since the reintroduction of the death penalty. Between the resumption of executions in 1977 and the end of 1997, the USA put to death 432 prisoners nationwide, with Texas alone accounting for one-third of the total (144).

Although 29 states in the USA have carried out one or more executions since 1977. Texas has carried out more executions than the next four highest executing states in total: Virginia (46), Florida (39), Missouri (29) and Louisiana (24).
