Tom,

I will be DRIVING my 68 Yenko Camaro down the track. I have been informed by many that the way I have driven cars at past SCR's is not considered RACING. What can I say, I am a road racer and am used to rolling starts and 20 miles to catch people http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Also plan to bring a 65 GTO convert and a 69 Y Camaro- may see how bad of an r/t I can cut with those as well...just to give the real racers some more material http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

Those who attended the SCR9 banquet will remember that we did an auction of supercar related memorabilia, raising several thousand dollars, with the proceeds going to a very worthwhile charity. This year we will once again be doing an auction, with the proceeds going to that same charity. web page (http://nickandkellyfund.org/index.htm) This is our way of saying thanks to XPLANTDAD for all of the time he donates to the sYc, and hopefully makes a difference in another child’s life.

While hanging out at York this weekend I was able to confirm a few "notables" for SCR10.

First of all, Mel Bogus will be joining us. While living in St. Louis, Mel sold cars for both Don Yenko and Dick Harrell during the musclecar era. He even had the pleasure of using both DH and Yenko cars as demos. WOW!! He is a wealth of information... and while at SCR10, Mel will be re-united with one of his demo cars, a Gold Yenko Camaro.

A while back I mentioned that a team of musclecar experts had looked at a car and in their opinion(s), determined that there was actually at least one L-89 Nova built, a 1970 model. Well, attendees of SCR10 will be able to see this car in person.

Just got word that it is looking very good that all 8 colors of Yenko Deuces will be represented at SCR10.

Once again Bob McClurg will be covering SCR10 for various magazines, but also he will be gathering stuff for the book he is doing on Don Yenko and Yenko Chevrolet. Any one who has pictures, ads and/or other information pertaining to Yenko Chevrolet is encouraged to bring it to SCR10.

Also attending will be Tom Shaw, covering the reunion for Super Chevy, but also gathering stuff for a book he is doing on dealer built supercars.
