Check it out at the 39 second mark. You can see that Judge decal is slightly crooked on the fender. No one, not even the assembly line guys, ever get the placement right!

Very cool commercial Sam.. However, I like the SS 396 song better being partial to Chevys of course!!

[/ QUOTE ]Its funny you brought that up Steve! Ive had a few survivor judges over the years and every original paint car I had had the decals always dipping toward the back. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

This is the Hurst "T" Handle featured in the promo mentioned above.
http://webzoom.freewebs.com/nuch_ss396/misc/69_GTO_T-handle_original2.jpg

Is this the original style used in the 69 GTO, or a promo?

I don't think I've ever seen this one before.

your probably right, I just recalled the cast H-pattern and thought it was pretty cool.

Budnate,

Boss Mustangs used them as well. The 70 Boss 302 had the same pattern but used a set screw drilled into the right side of the handle to keep it tight. The 71 Boss 351 used the same one as the GTO Judge and had no set screw.

Mike,

Which "version" of the T-handle was used in the '70 Boss?
Was it the one like the second image I posted, or was it
like the one I screen-captured from the commercial?

If you want to get really picky on the T handles......the 4 is differnet on the new issue parts compared to the old one's.... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

PJ, You should have bought the 45 record. They are a neat piece. You can usually find them on e-bay but finding the original sleeve that the record came in is tough.. I have one I got off e-bay, it is in mint condition. I'll try to post some pictures of it.... Rich
