A woman and a man are involved in a car accident on a snowy, cold Monday morning.
Both of their cars are totally demolished but amazingly
neither of them are hurt. God works in mysterious ways.
After they crawl out of their cars, the woman says,
"So you're a man. That's interesting. I'm a woman, and WOW, just look at our cars!
There's nothing left, but we're unhurt.
This must be a sign from God that we should meet and be friends and live together in peace for the rest of our days."
Flattered, the man replies, "Oh yes, I agree with you completely,
this must be a sign from God!"
The woman continued; "And look, here's another miracle. My car is completely
demolished but this bottle of wine didn't break.
Surely, God wants us to drink this wine and celebrate our good fortune."
Then, she hands the bottle to the man.
The man nods his head in agreement, opens it and drinks
half the bottle, then hands it back to the woman.
The woman takes the bottle and immediately puts the cap back on, and hands it back to the man.
The man asks, "Aren't you having any?"
The woman replies, "Oh, no. I think I'll just wait for the police...."

Can anybody tell me exactly why that is? What did we do to
deserve that treatment by the courts? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
Q. Why is divorce so expensive?
A. Because it's WORTH it.
With apologies to all you happily married guys out there, and I know there really are some. I am just a bit cynical these days.

If a man stands in the middle of the forest speaking and there is no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?

Statistics show that half of all marriages end in divorce. So what do the other half, that stay together, end in?
DEATH.
http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I got that from my parents who have been married for 52 years. My mom says it's 52 years. My dad says it's more like 25 non-consecutive years. Their sense of humor and 5 kids have kept them together all this time. (That and the fact that they could never agree on who gets stuck with us kids if they ever did split up..."You take em." "Oh, no you take em...")

Dennis,
Since most people put on their best face before marriage
( ladies, that also includes men ), how can you tell if
your "intended" has more to loose. In my case, we were
both young and had nothing. I climbed out of the basement,
she refused to. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

And up until that time I thought we were happy too http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
