In case anyone is in the area this saturday evening. They are having their cruise night on Main Street in Flemington, NJ 08822. I posted a bunch of photos of one of the cruises last summer and it was a nice one, with a lot of oddball cars that you don't see everyday. Very laid back event, with nice people. I cant seem to get the search function to work on this site, otherwise I would put a link to the coverage from last year. They have this cruise every two weeks til October. This saturday the featured marque are Mopars. Gee, I wonder what I'll bring?

See you there.. Verne? All you Chevelle guys???, etc.

Steve,
We have a dinner invitation Sat evening, so I can't make it. Also, this Fri. is the 6-Flags cruise. I'm planning on taking the convertible, but I'll probably leave the hood closed.... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Verne
PS: call Tom M. in Hampton and get him to bring down the ElCamino.

Why you old poop; it's called "Vintage Patina"! People love it!

What's next; you and I can't appear in public without a mask? Like us, the car shows it's wear and tear, and because of that it deserves RESPECT! Now raise that hood and let her show her stuff! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif

Verne, that's not dirt in there, it's called patina. This is how a 60's-era hotrod should look!

It makes me sick......... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

That generator wasn't even rusty until we had to change a broken valve spring in a parking lot near Baltimore 2 years ago on the way to Charlotte! It was about 95deg and 95% RH. Just sweating all over everything. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
(lucky I packed a pair of nos valve springs, just in case) http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scholar.gif

Yeah, I was trying to beat the weather home that night. It seems like I'm always running away from the weather in that car. But tonight I took the 00 SS out to the Hooters cruise night and sure enough the skies opened up and we got dumped on! Tomorrow the weather looks great for Jackson Outlets cruise. Back down into the 70's and low 80's.

I went to the cruise night last night but had to babysit the car all night as they were having a concert in the parking lot which attracted the usual amount of leaner/toucher/uneducated dolts that thought the cars were there as replacement support prosthetics for their weakened hip and knee joints. I guess that is what happens when you park in a handicapped parking spot (we had to park there -they were assigned spaces)

So as a result the only photos I got were of mopars. So here they are...

Here's a 1969 Charger 383 SE with factory sunroof. Neat original car sold new in Colorado.

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b216/nk15268/S7000262.jpg

1968 Hemi GTX four speed

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b216/nk15268/S7000264.jpg

1970 383 Roadrunner convertible. Nice to see the original factory hubcaps on the car instead of the obligatory rally wheels.

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b216/nk15268/S7000282.jpg

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b216/nk15268/S7000266.jpg

Night of the Attack of the Return of the Superstocks. There had to be 4 or 5 1963/4 426 Superstock cars there:

Here's a 1964 Dodge.

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b216/nk15268/S7000268.jpg

And a 1963 Plymouth.

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b216/nk15268/S7000270.jpg

Nice 1967 GTX

Amazing 1968 Hemi-powered Barracuda with monster motor.

Really nice 1977 Dodge Aspen R/T 360 automatic. 200 or so made with that drivetrain. Totally original paint, body and interior. Original engine just rebuilt and sounded really nice. It is for sale if anybody is interested. I know the owner, and the car, and the mechanic who did the work. If anybody is interested pm me. I think he wants $18,500 for it.

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b216/nk15268/S7000274.jpg

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b216/nk15268/S7000275.jpg

1971 Plymouth GTX 440 Magnum, four speed. Rare white paint scheme. I have never seen one in this color before. Looks really wild.

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b216/nk15268/S7000276.jpg

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b216/nk15268/S7000277.jpg

1970 AAR Cuda Clone/pro-tourer with late model hemi. Nice installation on the new drivetrain.

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b216/nk15268/S7000278.jpg

1970 Challenger R/T 440 Magnum in B7 Bahama blue. The fender tag was coded for Hemi Orange but it looked cool in the dark blue color.

Old faithful and the 20 feet of paperwork....

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b216/nk15268/S7000283.jpg

Here's a neat car. 1970 AAR Cuda 340 Six barrel, automatic. He was the high school buddy of the original owner of my Charger. Back in 1974 he had a 70 Hemicuda and his buddy had a 383 Cuda and Ricky Wickberg had my old Hemi Charger. Must have been a busy parking lot at the high school.

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b216/nk15268/S7000280.jpg

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b216/nk15268/S7000281.jpg

I also met another guy at the show who was the neighbor of the original owner of my car back in 1970. He was about 8 years old at the time and would bug the neighborhood guys for rides in their cars. Just to shut him up they would let him sit in the back seat and then try to scare him to death while screaming around the local streets. He remembers my car well from back in the day (and how the original owner could never figure out how to shift the trans correctly, and how he lost every race he was ever in, and how he was never really all that scared going for rides in the Charger other than the fear of crashing, since the guy was such as bad driver.... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif).

Yeah, that's where I was parked 2 weeks ago. But we didn't have any problems with people looking at the cars so I walked up and down main street. The biggest problem I had was that I was under a tree and backed up near that garbage and it stunk and the tree dripped all over my car. Not that big of a deal. They had a band out there as well. I would never leave documentation like you have out and walk away. Nice pictures.

The docs are only color copies. They're decoys! All the originals are in a vault locked away safe. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif
