Did any of you take pics of the white '67 Z-28 roller that was for sale at Carlisle? If so, could you please email a few to me to help confirm that the condition is as the seller described it to me? Also, PM's with honest opinions of the car would be appreciated http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif Thanks in advance!

Thanks Charley. I've spoken to the owner and have offered to buy the car if he can provide me some pics to confirm the condition is as he and others have described to me, but I haven't received them yet.
I have only one other stumbling block and that is that he wants to be paid in cash. I certainly can't drive across the border with that much money is a briefcase! In fact, you must declare anything greater than $10K cash or it can be confiscated!!! Hopefully, we can come to some other terms...
Where is the car Mark? If it is close to me, Mabey I can help with the transaction.

Thanks for the offer Tony! However, it's in PA...near Pittsburgh.
If you didn't look at the car 90 % of exterior had been painted ,entire undercariage painted black, under hood painted as well. real tags not worth the money. No drivetrain even the rear was missing .

Thanks Jim. No I didn't see the car. He has reduced the price significantly, that is the only reason that I am interested. However I need to make sure that there are no rust issues.

If it was the one on the truck I saw it also. Didn't disect it but didn't look bad. I know Jerry MacNeish looked it over also.

Thanks Sam. I told him I'd pay his $44K asking price but needed the title in his name and would wire the funds (rather than pay in cash) just as soon as I had confirmation of this and saw some pics. Never heard from him again....

You CAN drive over the bprder with that much cash...just DECLARE IT. It is only illegal to do it WITHOUT declaring it

Of course you can...but I don't care to try it! How do you think the US customs guys are going to react when I say I have $44K cash in my hand because the seller wants to avoid paying the IRs their fair share. Not to mention, I don't know this guy from Adam and would have no paper trail should he decide to set me up to steal the money.

set up a bank account on this side of the border, fund the account with a wire transfer from your bank to your new bank. when you get across the border make your withdrawal.
take security with you, gun or big guy with a gun, dont walk into the deal with the cash.
