Wanting to thank Tommy Mathison (69ss396) and sYc for yet another great find...sale and a new home for what is going to be a very exciting build.
Tommy is a great guy....very trusting and honest. Everything was as Tommy said it was. It`s so nice to find good honest people in this world. I plan on staying in touch with Tommy....and inviting Tommy to the very first showing / race we enter his former Chevelle.
Greg Cullum and I are going to build the next contender to compete in the Pure Stock Muscle Car Shootout....for the 2008 season.
Color of choice will be Olympic Gold.
Here are some pics of what is a true rust free Arizona car.

Joe,
I know your partial to green....I happen to own the very same Frost Green on Green Sedan....and I too like the Green...it`s just that the Olympic Gold is just a little nicer....but who knows we may change our mind at the very last minute....lord knows we have before.

Reminds me of a White 69 300 that belonged too a Guy in the B.C. Chevelle Club. White, With Poverty Caps, L-48, M-21 with 3:73 12 Bolt Posi. That car would Fly. It was a Stipper, No Carpet, No SoundDeadner, Bench Seat, No radio, Manual Steering and Brakes. Loved that Car, it was Supposedly a COPO Car. Who knows, Who cares. Badass little 69 Chevelle.

Yeah, I guess I AM a sucker for green... light or dark. Just think it would look cool in it's original color, actually like frost green better than gold, but that's just me. Seems to me somewhere around here I may have a nice Rosen-Novak chrome dealer badge... need one?

Cool car http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/headbang.gif Looks like you can't get enough of the 300s, Dan. Now that's an addiction http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif
Does your love of 300 cars extend beyond 69s? If you're looking for something really different once you're done with this one, how about building a plain-jane 70 model? Although referred to as a 300 Deluxe in Canada only, the 13437 model was offered in 1970 and referred to as just a Chevelle or Chevelle standard. Unique door panels and seat covers, rubber carpet, stripped trim and emblems were all part of the package, similar to earlier years. Here's a link to a very low-mileage original one that was for sale a few years ago:
http://www.cuepics.com/maurice/
PM me if you'd like more info on these cars.
Now I'm going to put my wanted ad up for my rubber mat since I know you'll be on the market for one again... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

WHOOOWEEEE! That is one dry-as-a-bone automobile. Very nice http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif ! Rust free cars are soooo much nicer to work on/restore. Congrats. Considering the impending knuckle-dragger sleeper status this car will shortly attain, I vote for Frost Green . Your competition will never know what hit them. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Me too...even thought about it again this week w/ Mike's ad for the Skylark post going cheap here..
Debody a donor Skylark or whatever, add Chevelle sheetmetal, drivetrain etc and you'd raise a few eyebrows of anyone else in the know?.
Didn't the post disappear for some of the A-bodys in '71 but come back for '72?.

Dan,
I just picked up a very clean 69 300 post car that I plan to do a custom on. It is glacier blue, white painted top, factory ac car. I'm going to keep it a 300 but put a little something special under the hood. I won't get to the car until later next year thoug.
Your car looks great and the photos confirmed for me that glacier blue is a great color when new.
