Congratulations Lon! You must be very proud. Sounds like your daughter has quite a future ahead of her.

I have made plenty of trips to Clarion County as our family made regular trips to the cabins at Cook Forest. I just came across a picture of my grandparents and some other relatives at the "fire tower" dated 1940. Great memories!

Even locals don't say it correctly! If you traveled I-80 to get there you passed within 2 miles of my place.
Thanks for the comments, I am very proud!

Lon, if you come to Springfield with your daughter for the rodeo, look me up. You will also only be 90 miles from the Super Car Reunion.

Congrats to Alyssa and to the proud Dad/Coach. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Like Don said, you might as well check in on us at the Reunion while you're here in Illinois. Just a short jaunt down I-55.................. you can't miss us! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Wishing you both the best of luck, and a safe trip. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

I may come out but it wouldn't be until the 23rd to coach her and then I'd have to leave sometime on the 25th. I'd love to stay and go to the reunion.
BTW, the wife and daughter are still trying to find a place to camp at. All nearby campgrounds say they are full. Know any place not to far away ?
Thanks,
Lon

That is awesome, good luck to her. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif ( sodas ) Both my boys grew up shooting and still tag along with Dad at his "other hobby" shooting weekends. The oldest had it come in handy in the big Sandbox in the Infantry. I can't wait until my eight month old grandaughter is ready for the rifle range. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif

just heard from the wife and she said Alyssa shot very well, enough to impress the NRA judge who came over and gave her pointers while she shot :thumb:. She was the only one who got this VIP treatment so I hope it bodes well as to how she scored.

Wow, that brings back some memories. I used to shoot on the rifle team for USANA here in NJ. Had practice every Friday night with my Dad. We always made a night of it. A couple of the people on the team went to the Olympics I think. Its been a long time since I've been shooting, might have to break out the gear. Congratulations to You and your Daughter!
