For sale a complete numbers matching Ram Air III, 4 speed GTO. I will be posting pictures over the weekend. This car is a real Ram Air 4 speed. Purchased from the original owner and never titled by me. Car is documented with the PHS documents, original bill of sale, POP, original owners manual. Car is wearing most of it's original paint. It is matador red with a red interior and white vinyl top. See the PHS docs to see options. Nicely optioned Survivor quality Ram Air GTO. This GTO is completely numbers matching from it's rare carb and distributor to the engine, heads, intake, transmission and rear. Whens the last time you heard of one of these for sale. This car has a Judge Ram Air III drivetrain without the Judge stripes and wing. Here's an opportunity to own a rare musclecar in a great color combination.
Asking $53,000 obo.Thanks SYC. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v639/L67WT1/69%20GTO%20RA%20III/100_4730.jpg

Here is one picture in my garage. I am installing a Gardner exhaust over the weekend that is why it is up on jack stands. As soon as I get that installed I will get more pictures.

hard to believe that car sat for that long on a car lot when new.

it is very pretty.

I know if that was in an area like Phila. LA or Chicago it probably would have been bought up quickly, the original owner told me it was purchased as a left over model. The dealership was very small and back in 69 this area was mostly farms from what I have been told.

Mike,

Nice Goat. What a beautiful color combo. Is the car front drum? What is "DECK LID-CON"?

Thanks,

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the compliments. I did not make the Nationals this year it was College orientation for my Daughter at Penn State, so you know what had to come first. Pretty exciting time, still can't believe my Daughter is old enough to go to college.

Was the vinyl roof redone in white? According to the PHS, it should be cordova, right?

Cordova = vinyl top. The colors for the car on the PHS are located next to the VIN. R = Matador Red, 5 = Parchment (white) vinyl top and 54 = red interior.

Gotta love PHS...

Here are some pictures. It has been raining here on and off all day. I get home from work and withing 15 minutes it started pouring so I only got about five minutes of pics on an over cast day.

The pics are just ok, but I did not want to keep anyone waiting.

It still has it's license plate from the original owner, 1985 Ohio inspection. The engine is untouched, notice the WS decal and white paint daub on the one engine picture. This car has every born with component that it left the factory with. (except for wear items of course). The original owner put the Sun tach on the console. Everything works, even the radio. Hideaways work perfectly. Also notice how the original paint is very dull on the endura nose. The endura noses were very difficult to paint even from the factory back then. As mentioned this is a complete numbers matching Ram Air III, 4 speed GTO that is in excellent survivor type condition with only 44,000 miles.

The hideaway headlight grilles have blacked out centers like the Judges had. The original owner stated to me that is how he bought it brand new off the show room floor. I inspected these along with a friend; these grilles show no evidence of tape lines or ever having been removed from the car. I believe them to be original to the car as the previous and original owner has stated to me.

I will provide the buyer with some pictures the original owner gave to me as well as his contact information.

Please feel free to call me and I will answer any questions you may have about this rare GTO. 267-879-5388

Thanks

Mike

Mike,

Great shots. Sometimes an overcast is better to reduce glare and strong shadows. Love the patina under the hood.
