Help with 327/365...

I believe it was available in 65, but not many built. I don't believe the 327/365 was available in 66.

We had a '64 Vette 327/365, 4 speed, with factory air. A vert to boot.

They built two solid lifter small blocks with a/c 64 & 65 corvette 327/365 and 72 corvette LT1.

Wrong two... the '66 L79 327/350. I find it hard to believe that in ’72 the 350 motor still came with solid lifters. In ‘72 the Z28 had hydraulic lifters which enabled it to have AC for the first time ever.

The 327/365 was replaced by the 327/350 in '66. The same motor continued into '67. AC was an option on both the '65 365 and '66 350hp. A low budget version of the motor was available in '68 but it had hydraulic lifters, cast iron intake and a Quadra-Jet unlike the original edition which had a solid lifters, aluminum intake, and Holley 4 bbl.

Dan, The statement I made was accurate regarding two solid lifter small blocks that were available with a/c. The L79 was hydraulic cam engine and available with ac in the vette(apple & oranges). The question was, could you get ac in the 327/365 which was a solid lifter engine.

In 72 both the Z28 and Lt1 equipped vettes were solid lifter, rated at 255hp. AC was only available in the vette not the Z28. In 73 the L82 which was hydraulic replaced the LT1.
