his is only the second buildsheet 69 L78 elky ive ever seen and i used to own the other one which is a twin to this car. California built monaco orange/black/black L78,4 speed 355 rear, tach and gauge package, console and buckets, power steering and brakes.rare redline G70 big tire option, original born with drive train. Currently a poor driver with wrong motor which is also included. std bore engine even had dated gm bearings in it. original shifter, great floors and bed.needs restoration[i will start the resto in a few months if not sold,it will only be advertised one time]]. parts available to complete or take as is[original block, trans and rear all part of deal].For trade only im looking for a new 2007/8 shelby and will trade up for one. Most colors and coupe or convertibles considered....would also take a late model low mile compact car as part trade [corolla, jetta, civic, etc] must be local for that type of a trade

Buildsheet is from fremont california. I only know of 2 L78 elkys with factory paperwork[this one and the one i sold last year]and both have original drivetrains .Its said no elkys with gauges on buildsheet are known. This elky and the last orange one i owned were both M20 L78 355 cars, both had buildsheets and both have gauges clearly marked on buildsheets. Would be nice to have the other one back now.

Does it have a title or transferable registration? Oops, sorry, that just slipped out! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I do recall the other car, fixed it all up nice for the crazy Aussie I had to return it to because I couldn't get a slip of paper from him to show I owned it...was an expensive lesson to be sure http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

Colin, you know i couldnt give you a direct bill of sale as was asked when i didnt sell it to you in the first place. Why was the car restored and advertised a while before you brought up any paperwork issue .?? Thanks for the unwarranted cheap shot though, even though i told you id do anything to help except write something on a piece of paper that was false.. Its a shame this stuff has to be out on a post, but i didnt start it here . Anyone in CT can tell you that when you reg a car,you get a temp reg until it expires, then you get a permamnent reg. CT is not a title state,so you can never get a title .Therefore if you sell a car before youve received the permanent reg, you transfer title with the TEMPORARY reg, which is what the buyer got. The fact it did YOU no good because title was being jumped and you didnt buy it from me , certainly isnt my problem.

I'm supposed to go look at a '69 L78 Elky - had no idea they were so rare, tells me that it's more likely to be an L34. Interesting.....
