General Motors had a car that looked almost the same at Woodward yesterday in Detroit.

Very nice car. Apparent attention to detail.

P.S. If we have one made, can we get our name put on the rear spoiler and something like "lettered in track"? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

GM built the Reggie car and as far as I know they are still showing it so it probably was the car at Woodward.

Speaking of Reggie...I saw you both chatting over @ Russo Steele on Sat night but didn't want to interfere.

Here's the car earlier this year @ Laguna Seca:

LOL...Actually we were congratulating him on his apparent victory with the Seaside city council. He is wanting to build a Hotel condo project in a redevelopement area where his shop is and the council voted for him to proceed with purchasing the properties he needs. There are about a dozen houses he will have to buy. If the sellers are too demanding the city will assist him with eminent domain in acquiring them. Guy with the brown cap is is brother.

He's been fighting the city on that issue for years, still surprised they're giving him the green light.
Having lived here since 1970,I've had several dealings with Reggie and his crew.No point churning up old dirt so I'll just leave it at that...

[/ QUOTE ] Maybe the auction houses will start to help the bidders acquire his cars via eminent domain too when the "demands" are too high http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Belair, all you have to do is hide under a mushroom for seven years on someones property and you will be able to claim it as yours. I just got in from checking my trees to make sure you arent camping out with the keebler elveshttp://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Now this really hits close to home and I do have a problem with people like Reggie and those who "congratulate" him. I just lost my house a little over a year ago to a development company that seduced the city council and acquired the right to declare my home "blighted" because it was on a dead end street and dead end streets are of little use to a community as a whole. Did you also know that 2-bedroom houses, regardless of condition, are considered "blighted"? Sorry about the rant but if you and your family were misplaced out of your home so a wealthy man can build a shopping center where your house is located(my case) maybe you would understand. Not a highway, not a school, but a shopping center. Figure that one out. Sure, I made a lot of money, but a forced move is a terrible thing to endure. Eminent domain abuse is a very bad thing for this country.

Can someone please explain why GM would make a " Reggie " anything. OK a rich former Baseball player that collects rare iron deserves a car?? I'd rather it be a " Warren Johnson ". He's built plenty of engines and cars over the years, not to mention his GM racing effort. The Eminent Domain issue only makes him look worse in my eyes.

Thats what i was wondering, what did he do for GM that was special enough for them to build him a car. I can think of a long list of more deserving individuals. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I'm guessing because Reggie has a long history of collecting rare Chevrolets and he owned a Chevy dealer in the Bay Area a while back.

Or it could just be a case of the rich getting richer... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hmmm.gif

GM needs to find a new interior guy. Check out the quality dash pad alignment job on the Reggie LSX. Maybe GM can make the dash pad manufacturers come up with a descent pad one of these days.
